Snowman®

Winter Fertilizer and Root Builder

Step 5 – Loveland Snowman®, winter lawn fertilizer, is the most important fertilizer to use on your lawn. Snowman maximizes root development for drought and traffic tolerances as well as early spring green up.

SNOWMAN WINTER ROOT BUILDER

Coverage

Snowman® is available in bags that give 10,000 sq/ft and 15,000 sq/ft in total coverage.

When to Apply

Apply to cool season grasses in late fall to early winter when the ground is not frozen.

How to Apply

Particle distribution is best when spread using a broadcast or rotary spreader.

How Often

Applications of Snowman® Winter Root Builder can be made in fall and winter.

Features

The lower nitrogen formula of Snowman® contains high potassium for disease and drought tolerance and phosphorous for root strength. Grass roots continue to grow during winter months, when the ground is not frozen. Roots absorb and store the nutrients until warm weather arrives in spring. Stored nutrients are immediately available to the grass plant as warmer weather arrives. 40# 60# NPK 8-12-10 + Fe

Benefits

Step #5 in Uncle’s Idiot Proof Lawn Care Program®.  Applied in fall, Snowman® prepares turf for spring. Spring lawns will green up faster and grow denser. A thick, dense lawn will fight off weed pressure from ugly spring weeds. A winterizer type fertilizer, Snowman is applied in late fall to early winter after the grass plant stops producing top growth and uses the nutrients available from Snowman for carbohydrate production and storage.
