Yes! There are some lawn diseases that can be especially devastating to young grass plants. Applying Fungus Fighter when conditions are favorable for disease can prevent damage or stop further damage.
Fungus Fighter
Fungus Fighter is a granular fungicide combining two broad spectrum, curative and prevantive fungicides that control a wide range of lawn diseases.
Fungus Fighter provides control of the most common diseases in cool and warm season grasses, including but not limited to brown patch, powdery mildew, pythium, summer patch, dollar spot, anthracnose, red thread, rust, snow mold, large patch in zoysia. Fungus Fighter will be most effective when used preventatively, so applications should be made when conditions are favorable for disease development. For fescue lawns this means applications should begin mid-May through August, when temps and humidity are both high. Diseases that specifically affect bluegrass lawns can be a little harder to predict, but a general rule of thumb for preventative applications is to begin in late-April through May.
For continued prevention, reapplication may be necessary while conditions persist, and the use rate (lbs. per 1,000 sq ft.) determines the wait time between applications.
