Olathe Grass Pad
The Olathe Grass Pad was the first to include a full nursery and garden center, opening its doors in 1983, and selling the best sod in Olathe ever since. The store has since expanded to become one of the midwest’s major retail and wholesale distributors to sell lawn and landscape materials, including fertilizers, grass seed, sod, flowers, trees, shrubs, bulk mulch, and much more to homeowners and landscape professionals. We also sell straw bales for gardens and doghouses.
At Grass Pad we have a reputation for having a knowledgeable sales staff and friendly customer service. Our experts can solve any lawn and garden problem you throw at them, and we’re always happy for a new challenge.
The Olathe location site has initially been the Hyer Boot Factory, famous for its narrow-toed, high-heeled cowboy boot design. Much like the Grass Pad is today, the Hyer Boot Company was a mainstay of Olathe. We are proud to be part of the rich history of Olathe. The Grass Pad participates in many local events, like the Johnson County Old Settlers Parade and the Olathe BBQ Championship. Just look for our green shirts or the famous Grass Pad car. Store Manager
Cameron grew up in Farley, Missouri, in the shadows of the original Grass Pad. While attending Park Hill HS, he took time off from soccer practice to begin working at our Barry Road location. He worked there through acquiring his bachelor’s degree in business from Park University and just never saw the reason to leave. Cameron has held nearly every position in the company and is the current Store Manager in Olathe.
