Great shrub for just about any soil here in the Midwest. Prefers well-drained soil, but can adapt to just about anywhere. Great for Rock Gardens or Mass/Group plantings, foundations and borders. Can be grown as a hedge. As spring flowers finish, a light trimming will encourage another flush of blooms, ensuring that you have color most of the summer. Flowers attract butterflies and other pollinators. New growth is red transitioning to yellow.
