What is Max Mix?
Uncle’s Max Mix is the premium horticultural grade planting mix and landscape soil amendment. A unique combination of processed pine bark fines, naturally composted organic material, and sphagnum peat make for a multi-purpose professional landscape mix. This blended mixture has been meticulously formulated to balance pH, add organic matter, and encourage moisture retention while providing the necessary drainage your landscape requires.
Use Max Mix to improve soil conditions when planting trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, bare root stock, bulbs, and vegetables. Max Mix also makes excellent potting soil for outdoor pots, planters, and baskets. Uncle’s Max Mix blend is designed for use in raised vegetable gardens, rose beds, or wherever your existing soil is just not worth using. The uses are endless!

Uncle’s Mix Mix Professional Landscape Mix
Use for Planting Trees and Shrubs
Backfill with a balanced blend of Max Mix mixed with native soil from the planting hole. Feed with Uncle’s root Accelerator as directed on the label.
Use in Raised Garden Beds
Combine one bag of Uncle’s Max Mix and two bags of Grass Pad topsoil for raised garden beds. Great for annuals, perennials, and veggies. Makes approximately four cubic feet.
Use in Outdoor Pots & Planters
Use Max Mix in outdoor pots. For large pots, fill the bottom 1/3 with a layer of lava rock to aid drainage and stability. Fill the balance with Max Mix and your favorite designer flowers.
Use for Topdressing Flower Beds
Topdress garden beds with Max Mix after you’ve fished planting. Enhances appearance, retains moisture, and improves the soil profile. One bag covers up to 12 square feet at 2 inches deep.
